Little Brother to the Rescue

Today my daughters heart was broken. For the past few weeks Marki has been playing with a little girl down the street that is in Kindergarten with her. They have always played so nice and seemed to enjoy each others company. So imagine my surprise when my sweet girl comes flying in the house crying her eyes out. Levi came over to see what was going on. After the tears died down a little Marki told me that Reagan told her she didn't want to be her friend anymore and pushed her down. I asked her why she would do such a thing and apparently they were racing to the slide and Marki won and thats when Reagan grabbed her coat, and ripped the arm out, followed by the cruel words, "I AM NOT YOUR FRIEND ANYMORE!" And then Marki was pushed down.

What bothered Marki the most was that was the first time a girl had ever said they didn't want to be friends anymore and she was so hurt. I didn't notice Levi when he left the room but when I realized he was gone I knew exactly where he went...To the playgroud to defend his sister. That girl didn't know what was coming. Marki and Lee may fight like cats and dogs sometimes but you mess with one you get the other. I ran outside to grab Lee and he was on his way back, dragging a sword. I heard, from a neighbor girl, that Levi went and told the girl to leave his sister alone and that no one treats his sister that way. How adorable is that! I just thank God that the spongy sword was for looks. ;) I am comforted to know that Marki doesn't need a big brother to help her out. She has the most loving and sweet little brother who would defend her and make sure he is there for her. You are a wonderful little brother Levi. You always make me smile.

I Love this Boy!

Today, while Oliver and I were waiting for Marki and Levi to get out of sunday school, we noticed Lee's class parading around with these fish. Levi was super proud to be announcing his Christianity and he was looking around for me with a look of pride on his face. The parents were clapping and cheering for the little kids proud to have Jesus in their hearts. Of course, my camera was in the car but at least I got a picture after Religious Ed was out. I love you Lee! You are the sweetest boy and I am so proud to have you for my son.

Marki's date with Daddy

Last Tuesday Marki Lyn came home from school begging us to take her to the school play being held at the Kuna High School. She told us it would be on Thursday at 7:00 and she knew her friend Grace, who she walks home from school, with would be in it. So, Mark decided to take her for some Father/Daughter time. She always gets dressed up for her Daddy dates. Ever since Santa brought her some makeup she uses it anytime she can. We don't let her wear it out of the house but Mark couldn't resist when he saw her doing this.....

Putting makeup on in the car....and I thought that would happen in Middle school. Guess not. I could not love this girl more!

Birthday Laughs

All my loves, all in a row.

This must be their signature picture.
I told Lee to put his hands in his pockets. It made it look like he had to pee. Hahaha.
Daddy and Olli saying "CHEESE"

I was supposed to go to the river today and take some pictures of Mark and the kids but I seem to have lost my nice camera in the move. Not lost for good. Just for now. Plus, by the time we were able to get out of the house Oliver feel asleep and it was a bit more chilly out than I expected. So we opted to stay in and have some laughs. You can't really tell bet we were all cracking up getting these pictures taken. Happy Birthday Mark!!!!!

Happy Birthday Most Wonderful Daddy!

Happy Birthday to the best Daddy and Husband EVER! We love you so much. You are the most amazing person I know and I am so glad I get to grow old with you. Have a great day my love! Roar!

This video was done late last night. I told the kids to sing as loud as they could. Birthday interviews from the kids to come soon.

A Magical Christmas

This year Christmas was special in so many ways for the Benjamins. First, my Dad and Gwen were able to come and spend the Holiday's with us which was a blessing since Christmas just isnt the same here in Idaho when we are missing our famlies. Second, this was our first Christmas in our new home. And third, WE SAW SANTA!

Early early in the morning the kids caught Santa putting the goodies and presents under the tree and in the stockings. Marki and Levi peeked out over the loft to see the jolly good man himself. They were very quiet and thought it was the most amazing thing ever. Marki whispered, "This is so awesome!" I don't have pictures but I wish I had them. After Santa left the kids went and woke up Grammy and Poppy to open gifts. Here they are wondering which to open first.
Levi asked Santa for night vision goggles. He was super excited to get these. I am not quite sure what he will use them for but I love that my kids always ask for the most crazy things for Christmas.

Yep. All the kids got golf clubs from Poppy and Grammy. Now they can golf with us at Glaicer Park.
So excited.

What's in here?
Mark is the most happy person ever around the Holidays. We have been very blessed this year!

We missed all our other Montana family! You were all in our thoughts and we can't wait to see you all!
Thanks Dad and Gwen for making this a wonderful Christmas! We sure enjoyed having you!
