Mark, this is one of many reasons we are proud of you

You'll see Mark toward the end of the video pulling hose. Marki, Levi, and Oliver watch this over and over and over. They are so proud of their Daddy!

I had to sneak up on her to get this picture.

Father's Day

The father is always a Republican toward his son, and his mother's always a Democrat." -- Robert Frost

The kids got to do all their favoite things with their dad for father's day. Mark let them each choose what they got to do. Marki picked a movie (most likey so she could eat candy), Levi chose to play baseball, and Oliver chose to dance, or at least that's what we thought he'd like to do. We all danced like crazy chickens because he loves music.

Marki chose to do a surprise party as well at the Fewkes for her Daddy and Dave so we had dinner there and the kids jumped out to surprise them. We had a great Father's Day and I am proud to say Mark that I couldn't be more blessed that you are the father of my children. You are a great dad and your babies love you more than anything in this world. They adore you completely and you are their hero. You are my hero too. I love you so much. Thank you for being a hardworking, loving, wonderful role model. You totally rock. :) Love you so much. There certainly is a reason I have "The best husband in the world lives here" poster on our front door!

Our Big Girl

She had changed. The few seconds it took her to learn to ride her bike without training wheels she has changed. She is a certainly a big girl now with confidence like you wouldn't believe. She is so proud of herself. We are so proud of her.
June 3rd Marki came to me and wanted me to take off her training wheels. I knew better. Her dad was at work but her last encounter trying failed so I thought ok, we can try it. I didn't want Mark to miss out on being there but she was persistant. It literally took her one second to get on her bike and take off. I was holding on and could tell she didn't need me. She kept telling me to let go. I couldn't. One, here daddy wasn't there to see this next step in her life. Two. I just didn't want to let go. So after about 5 minutes of her begging me I did let go. And off she went. Like she had been doing it forever.
Of course my hubby has not yet forgiven me ;) but I think his heart sank just like mine did when he saw her. She really has changed. No littleness about her now. And it's not fair!
She rode constantly from morning til night and I had to actually get her off her bike to put her to bed. It is her favoite thing to do now. Levi is bound and determined to ride with out training wheels now. Marki keeps telling him how to do it.
We love you Marki! We couldn't be more proud of you!

Thanks Isaacs!

Last night we had a dinner party at my friends Amy's. We had a blast playing Rock Band and visiting. I sang my heart out and the kids played guitar and drums. We are definately going to have to get that game! Thank you Amy and Merrit! We all had a great time!

I think my singing scared off Eisley and Lilly. Hahahahee. Here are the girls rockin out.

21 months and sweet as ever!

My little man jumping for joy.
Such a climber. Always has been.

I'm a big boy mom. I don't need your help going down the slide.

Well my sweet, you are 21 months today. My heart twinges to think that soon you will be two years old. Two years! Daddy and I have been working the labs trying to find out how to keep you all little. Its not working. Don't get me wrong, two years old is a great age to be, however you are my last little one and you seem to be growing so fast. There is nothing you can't do. You play catch with your brother and you love it. You love soccer and football too. You are super cool, just ask your brother. You are very mello and my cuddle bug. You have the most amazing laugh. It can make anyone instantly happy. You are a chatter box now. I can't believe the words and sentences you use. You are so intellegent. You certainly have found your voice which I'm sure you realized you needed with an older brother and sister. You are EXTREMELY independent which drives me crazy some days. You are a quick learner and keep up with your bro and sis quite well. You love being outside. I think you'd stay out there all night if you could. You are completely adored by us all and yes, once again, I will tell you we all still fight over you in the morning. You are attacked as soon as you wake up in the morning. I wonder what you might think about that. I surely thought it would lose it's appeal with Marki and Levi after awhile but it hasn't. I have to push them off you every morning. There will be more about you on my fun facts about my kids so that's all I'll say for now. I love you and thank you for being you!

For Love of the Game

Baseball gives every American boy a chance to excel, not just to be as good as someone else but to be better than someone else. This is the nature of man and the name of the game. -Ted Williams

Baseball was, is and always will be to me the best game in the world. -Babe Ruth

I'd walk through hell in a gasoline suit to keep playing baseball. -Pete Rose
If a woman has to choose between catching a fly ball and saving infant's life, she will choose to save the infant's life without even considering if there is a man on base. -Dave Barry
If I were playing third base and my mother were rounding third with the run that was going to beat us, I'd trip her. Oh, I'd pick her up and brush her off and say, 'Sorry Mom, but nobody beats me. -Leo Durocher
Ninety feet between bases is perhaps as close as man ever come to perfection. -Red Smith
If God wanted football played in the spring, he would not have invented baseball. -Sam Rutigliano
The hardest thing to do in baseball is to hit a round baseball with a round bat, squarely. -Ted Williams
The only reason I don't like playing in the World Series is I can't watch myself play. -Reggie Jackson
Gene Green, to pitcher Jim Brosnan: I don't mind catching your fastball at all. Naturally, I'd want to have a glove on in case you might be having an especially good day.
As soon as I got out there I felt a strange relationship with the pitcher's mound. It was as if I'd been born out there. Pitching just felt like the most natural thing in the world. Striking out batters was easy. -Babe Ruth
In order to excel, you must be completely dedicated to your chosen sport. You must also be prepared to work hard and be willing to accept destructive criticism. Without 100 percent dedication, you won't be able to do this. -Willie Mays
It took me seventeen years to get three thousand hits in baseball. I did it in one afternoon on the golf course. -Hank Aaron
A hot dog at the ballgame beats roast beef at the Ritz. ~Humphrey Bogart
You gotta be a man to play baseball for a living, but you gotta have a lot of little boy in you, too. ~Roy Campanella
I see great things in baseball. It's our game - the American game. It will take our people out-of-doors, fill them with oxygen, give them a larger physical stoicism. Tend to relieve us from being a nervous, dyspeptic set. Repair these losses, and be a blessing to us. ~Walt Whitman

Back then, my idol was Bugs Bunny, because I saw a cartoon of him playing ball - you know, the one where he plays every position himself with nobody else on the field but him? Now that I think of it, Bugs is still my idol. You have to love a ballplayer like that. ~Nomar Garciaparra

Last Game of the Season

Marki Lyn
Lee. He couldn't find his blue glove so he used my glove from when I was little. It still says Cara Anderson on it :)

Yep. Every game. Harlee and Lee together.

I couldn't get great pictures due to me watching Oliver who also wanted to play :) Then my camera ran out of batteries. Here is a video of Levi playing infield. Just click on the link.
I am so proud of Marki and Levi. They both did very very well.
