Baking with Marki

Marki got an easy bake oven from her Poppy and Grammy Anderson for her birthday this year. She decided to make a yellow cake and chocolate frosting today. She made the whole thing completely by herself. I love the picture of her whole face in the bowl licking the chocolate. She is definatley my kid. After she frosted the cake she did her own dishes. She had a blast baking! We are now waiting for Lee to wake up so they can enjoy some cake.

Let It Snow!

We woke up to a great surprise this morning...It was snowing! The kids were so excited so I got them dressed and ready to go play in the snow. After trying to catch snowflakes in their mouth, snow angels, and a snowball fight we came back in for some hot cocoa and waffles. Then suggles under blankets.

Piano Lessons

I started Marki on piano lessons. The cool thing about it is I am teaching her out of the same book I learned when I was her age. Don't expect her to play motzart anytime soon. Right now I am teaching her notes, beats, and positioning at the piano. When I was playing the piano with Lee, he seemed to really enjoy it. I asked him if he was going to be my little piano player and he told me, "No, I'm going to be on a football team!" I thought that was pretty cute. Kami, if you are interested in Malia learning about music, bring her on over!

Letters to Santa

Marki and Levi's letters to Santa are on their way to the North Pole. Marki asked for a make up kit and a skate board. I get a kick out of her. Levi asked for Hockey Skates and a football. I guess the 4 footballs he already has aren't enough:) Mark got the Christmas light up and we are going to go and pick out a tree after Mark gets done working in four days. We can't wait to go on our train ride to the North Pole. Thunder Mountain Express has so many fun things to do year round. The trip to the North Pole is one we did last year and loved it. Santa rides with you and carolers sing and you can enjoy beautiful senery as you go to a bon fire and sit on santa's lap. Take pictures that sort of stuff. I think the Santa last year was drunk. He was a little too much.

Potty Time

Levi finally went poo-poo on the potty and we are so proud of him. Here he is showing his dad what he had done. Great job Lee!

Hives

Last Friday Levi woke up with hives. He had been taking amoxicillin for a sinus infection and it took almost 10 days for him to have this reaction. What I first noticed was his ears were sticking way out. When I got a closer look there were hives all over his body. Poor little guy. The hives got a lot worse over the next few days. Now they are completely gone and now we know he is allergic to this antibiotic.
